Mary Jean - April '01
After Graduation I stayed in Munich and worked for Radio Free Europe. Then went on to Wiesbadden and life in the godawful Tunner's Nunnery. Got tired of being cold so moved to Wheelus AFB in Tripoli, Libya--now there was a fun year!

Came back to the States and headed straight for California which I thought had to be the most exciting place in the world. It pretty well was, but had not had enough of Europe, so came back to Germany--Ramstein and Hahn--for two more years.

Spent the greater part of my life in the Los Angeles area. Worked as a civilian for the Air Force for 20 years, with side jobs in the aerospace industry--Hughes, Rockwell, TRW, etc. Really loved life in southern California but it has changed so much I could not live there again.

Had a brief marriage and divorce in the early 70's--would you believe I was 35 before I finally got married??? Yes, I imagine some of you would believe it.

Twenty-five years ago I met the love of my life running the rapids thru the Grand Canyon--he was an LA fireman. We have been together ever since, and he actually loved to move as much as I did! We left LA in 1984--both retired--and went RVing full time for a while. Moved to Bullhead City, AZ and now have lived in Albuquerque since 1987.

Please Note: Pat Tierney passed away in 2002. Mary Jean still lives in Albuquerque and to the delight of her many friends attended the San Antonio Reunion in 2003. In February 2004 she visited the California MAHS alumni. To view the photos click on Sacramento Visit
