Peggie (McKrell) Singer

George writes: "I called Peggie prior to my leaving on my family reunion and sad to say that I just did not have the time to put all the information on her to e-mail and send it out. Peggie and her husband ( I failed to get his name----shame on me) lives at 1608 Holmes Ave, Springfield, IL 62704, Phone 217-525-6626. She is married to an Army man---Peggie always was so smart you know. Very good choice of men-----they had four children----two boys and yes----you guessed it----two girls. Her husband is Army you know. They retired in the Illinois area to be close to family. Peggie is a typical busy grand mother visiting the kids and sometime in August will be returning to the San Antonio area to help one of the kids who are in the process of adopting. I hope that Joan who lives in SA and I will be able to meet with Peggie during her visit. Will send pictures if and when this occurs. Peggie's husband was a tanker and so is one son. The acorn does not fall far from the tree-------he is Army you know. :-)) We were lucky to find Peggie through Gerry (Hauck) Golden. This is the first time that we have found one class member through another from the same class. July was a great month----three members found-----it doesn't get much better than that"
