I have four grandchildren: The eldest just graduated from University of Colorado, Denver, and the youngest is her little brother, who is now just three months old! (These pilots!) My other son, James, has a 13-year old girl and a 10-year old boy. My first marriage lasted 18 years, and I have been happily remarried for the past three years. (We won't go into the intervening years; they don't count, except as learning tools!)
My husband and I both work in non-profit fields (literally, unfortunately). I've been at my present job four years now and must like it, because it's the longest I've ever stayed anywhere (Country, state, city, job or house).
Before Tom and I married, I warned him that my life as a military brat and wife had given me a case of permanent wanderlust, and he'd better be prepared to do a lot of traveling - at least as much as we can afford! Fortunately, he's a good sport, and seems to enjoy it almost as much as I do.
We live ten minutes from downtown Sacramento - have a nice house, with a great "party" yard just meant for barbecuing, and two Dachsunds. We're hoping to have any old Grads who come to Sacramento plan to stay over and enjoy a barbecue and get reacquainted. We'll protect them from the Killer Dachsunds.
I am absolutely delighted to have had the opportunity to "re-connect" through Karren and George. Thank you, guys.
