"I got to San Antonio and the hotel just about on time 11 AM. I was looking
around the lobby for a house phone so I could call Hedi and all of a sudden I
hear a voice call out----George. There she was---watching me go around in
circles looking for that damn phone. No more had we come together than Joan
and her husband JOHN (notice the name Tom) came walking in.What timing!!!!
We sat down and talked and then JOHN said he had to leave. I had him take a
group shot of us and then he left.
The conversation between these two girls was nothing less that like two
machine guns firing back and forth. Guys---you would have felt sorry for me
if you would have seen what I had to endure. Like a machine gun they would
run out of breath and while they were reloading I could get in a few words.
Seems like these girls had several experiences that I had no idea of.
We had lunch on the famous River Walk which backed up to Hedi's hotel and
had some kind of a vegetable pizza looking thing. Was good----OH---another
secret----Hedi is a vegetarian. By the way---she wears bifocals glasses too.
You will notice that when they/I took the pictures she always took them off.
I wonder why??? All in all I think we had a great time. They kept talking
about a class get together in the central US. Not a bad idea-----right???"
